About our company
Wiebe van den Bergh began his career as apprentise Thatcher in 1990 in the south of Holland. Nine years later Van den Bergh acquired a network of clients from a retired thatcher, and consequently in 1999 the company 'Rietdekkersbedrijf Van den Bergh' was born.
Because of our vast experience you are guaranteed a service specially designed to cater for your personal requirements, executed with thoroughness and expertise. Naturally we select only the best quality materials. Our core values, transparent deadlines, personal contact and our constant availability for questions or advice are the foundation on which we make your desires reality.
Van den Bergh Rietdekkers is from its inception a member of the Dutch Federation of Thatchers. This Federation looks after the interests of the Dutch Thatchers, but also sets and enforces the standards and quality requirements for the profession.
What we do
Thatching is our passion, but in addition to our thatch work we also provide the following services:
- Maintenance to existing thatch work
- Construction work such as carpentry on the existing roofs, e.g. the replacement of the traditional roof constructions for a safer structure. The method we use ensures that the thatch is securely fastened to a closed tiled roof. This is a more modern, durable technique that retains the traditional look and feel
Because of the knowledge we have acquired during years of practical experience we are able to provide you with quality advice that will ensure that your thatch work comfortably achieves the guarantee period of ten years.
